The Trace
After inspecting the model's results you should have a look into the trace file.
This file lists all relevant activities of the model's active entities (in our example: container ships) like inserting an entity into queues or scheduling new events. Thus, it is an important means for the modeller to help validate the model. You will find a complete list of
- the temporarily active model
- the time of action
- the occuring event
- the acting entity and
- the taken actions.
